…according to these people, anyway. I saw them out with their signs yesterday and they were mentioned on the news. The gist is that the U.S. Government manufactured these attacks as an excuse to expand power and/or go to war. My gut feeling is that they're hippie morons looking for something that isn't there, but I don't know enough to refute any of their arguments. I also have no intention of educating myself on the topic because I just don't see what difference it makes.

Let's say they're right. What am I supposed to take away from all this? That the government acts in its own interest, rather than in the interests of the people? No shit! Where have you hippies been? Oh, that's right. You've been working tirelessly to expand the size, scope, and power of the government for the last 150 years. Way to go. Anyway, our government does shit that should piss us off and shit that's flat-out forbidden all the time and they do it right in front of our faces (usually to cheers from liberals). I didn't think they were interested in my rights or well-being on September 10, 2001 and I don't think that now. Is it the fact that they allegedly killed their own citizens that makes this different? Because slaughtering your own citizens is a question of "when", not "if" with the prevailing socialist policies. I'm not saying liberals want a government that murders its own people, but that is exactly what they keep pushing for because they're apparently fucking incapable of learning from history. September 11th will be a day at the beach compared to the suffering you can expect from "Universal Healthcare". (Of course a lot of people won't see it that way. Because the horror will be spread out over more time and more locations, people will think the system just needs more money, more power, blah blah blah. The same people that throw a hissy fit [rightly so] over the government listening to phone calls want that same government to have total control over their health care? Can anyone explain this to me?)

Maybe we're supposed to think that because our government was behind 9/11, we aren't justified in attacking Islamic Fascists. Umm… I got a pretty good look at the people that were celebrating in the streets after the attack. I also see a lot of the same types of people saying that they want to do things to us that are even worse than 9/11. (Some of them even say they want to attack "again", while trying to maintain the official line that "it was the Jews". Ha!) Guess who I'm talking about. Should we not kill people that make such threats?

Like I said before: If the government brought down the twin towers, what difference does it make? No matter who was behind 9/11, we have all the reasons we need to:

  1. Petition the U.S. Government for reform
  2. Kill Islamic radicals left and right

I choose to continue believing we were attacked by foreign dirt-bags and carry on with the two tasks above.
